بBitaqat Hifd Qor'an

Application

Delete an account or a profile

The Bitaqat Hifd Qor'an app (com.bitaqat.hifdquran) lets you delete everything from within the app itself. This page is for those who no longer can — app uninstalled, phone lost, device out of service.

Request a deletion

From the app, right away

This is the fastest path, and it needs nobody's approval.

  • You are an adult (parent, guardian or teacher): Guardian orMentor tab → SettingsDelete my account.
  • You are the learner, on your own device: SettingsDelete my profile.
  • You are a minor's guardian: open the child's page →Delete this child's profile. The gesture asks for your password and the child's travel name. A teacher can never do it: that right belongs to the adult who consented for the child.

What is deleted, and what stays

A learner's profile

The profile first goes into a 30-day bin: it becomes invisible everywhere in the app and nothing circulates for it any more, but its guardian can still bring it back. On the 31st day everything is erased, with no way back: travel name, avatar, progress, validation requests, evaluations received, deadlines, badges, rewards, sessions, history and notifications — along with the device's anonymous session.

Before deleting, the app offers to save a copy of the journey, handed over on the device. That file is not sent anywhere.

An adult account

Deleted: the account itself, its email address, its display name, its preferences, its invitation codes and the notification tokens of its devices.

Not deleted: the profiles of the learners it followed. An adult neither owns nor holds a learner — they are that learner's teacher or guardian. Those profiles go back to “waiting for a teacher”, and the evaluations the adult had given stay in the learner's history, without an author's name. A child does not lose their work because an adult leaves.

Backups

The server's automatic backups, which overwrite one another, may hold a copy for a few days longer. They are never consulted to restore a deleted account.

What the app does not hold

There is nothing to delete of what was never collected. The app asks for no date of birth, no legal name, no phone number, no postal address. It measures no duration, reaches neither microphone, nor camera, nor location, and contains no tracker and no advertising. A learner has no email address: their device signs in anonymously. Data is hosted in the European Union.

Make a request

If you no longer have access to the app, write to us here. Give the email address of the adult account concerned and — if a child is involved — the travel name they used in the app.

Every request is verified and then handled by hand: we reply to the address you give before anything is deleted. That is slower than a button, and deliberately so — a public form must not be able to erase a child's journey on the strength of a typed address alone. Allow a few days.
