بBitaqat Hifd Qor'an

Methodology

How the cards work

Each level's yearly goal is broken down by surah, themselves split into weekly goals. Each weekly goal matches a cell: if the section is correctly recited, the teacher writes the recitation date in it. Otherwise, the cell stays blank and a new deadline is set.

After two consecutive missed goals, a discussion is scheduled with the parents to understand and find a solution to the difficulty.

Hizb markers

Hizb boundaries do not have a separate card: they are marked directly on the card, with a double border around the date cells that correspond to the start of a hizb. Students and teachers can therefore track progress both surah by surah and hizb by hizb, with a single card.

The card, in principle

A card is assigned to each student and corresponds to a level. It is personalised: name, class, teacher, level and yearly goal are listed on it. The student always keeps it and presents it to their teacher at every recitation; the teacher keeps a duplicate.
